1. Data controller
The portfolio and its related services are operated by Nana Elie, an independent developer based in Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso.
2. Data collected
The contact form collects your name, email address and message. The chatbot may process messages, language, a session identifier, IP address and technical browser information (User-Agent). Site analytics may record page views and campaign parameters (UTM).
3. Purposes
This data is used to respond to contact requests, operate chatbot conversations, retain their context, protect the service, prevent abuse, measure site traffic and diagnose technical issues.
4. Service providers and transfers
The site is hosted on Vercel. Chatbot messages are sent to the Google Gemini API to generate responses. Application data is stored in the PostgreSQL database configured for this service. The contact form may also use the configured email provider to send notifications and acknowledgements. These providers may process data in countries other than your own.
5. Cookies and analytics
The chatbot uses a session cookie to associate messages with a conversation. The site also uses a technical visit-counting cookie, retained for up to 24 hours per page. Traffic statistics and UTM campaign parameters may be recorded. Cookies required for operation are not used to authenticate you on the public site.
6. Data retention
Chatbot conversations are scheduled for deletion 90 days after their last activity. Contact form data is retained for as long as needed to handle the request and related follow-up. Analytics and technical logs may be retained separately. Backups may temporarily retain data after deletion.
7. Security and your choices
Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect data. The chatbot asks you to acknowledge this notice before sending a message. Do not submit passwords, banking details or sensitive information. You may request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data, subject to applicable rules.
